Experience:

  • 17 years Occupational Health in the Petrochemical Industry (Oil and Gas, and Fertliser), Corporate Environments eg Government Departments, & Freezing Works
  • 2 years in electricity generation business
  • 2 years teaching first aid in Aged care facility to a wide range of people

Sue moved from Taranaki to Auckland in January 2008 to become part of the WOHC team. She had been working in Occupational Health for 19 years in Taranaki mainly in the Oil and Gas Industry. Prior to that Sue worked on Military Bases around New Zealand in a non – health related role. Sue says “I am often asked what is the role of the OHN and the best way to describe what we do, I think, is helping to keep well people well.”

On a personal note Sue has 3 adult children and 1 grandson. She has recently bought a lovely home in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland that has views of the Manukau Harbour and overlooking a bush reserve. “I can still see the sea and hear the birds - its great!”
